Emerging Artist Program

DEVELOPING THE NEXT GENERATION OF ARTISTS

The Emerging Artists Program is a studio art course for teens focused on painting and drawing, open during Fall and Spring semesters. Each semester is conducted in eight total in-person classes, organized around four individual projects, and several smaller supporting assignments. This program also includes an online portion using Canvas Infrastructure, a web-based learning system for online teaching. Classes include group critiques with peers and visiting professionals, presentations with lectures introducing numerous concepts, guidance for applying to schools, and help with professional practices.

All experience levels are encouraged to apply! Students enrolled in previous semesters are welcome to reapply and will have newer projects for continuing their development.
