ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE 

A power-assisted doorway that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act is located at the front of the building to the left.  

 

ACCESSIBLE PARKING 

Accessible parking spaces are available in garages on both Duval and Monroe streets. Metered parking spaces are available across Laura Street in front of the museum for vehicles with valid disabled parking permits or license plates on a first-come, first-served basis. Other metered parking spaces are available on Duval and Monroe streets. Metered spaces are free on weekends and after 6 p.m. on weekdays. 

 

ASL Interpretation Icon

ASL INTERPRETATION 

An American Sign Language interpreter is present at all in-person Ideas of Our Time lectures and exhibition openings. Interpretation is available by request for any program. Contact hellomoca@unf.edu to request an interpreter. 

 

Closed Captioning Icon

CLOSED CAPTIONING

Closed captioning is available on all video content on the museum's website, hybrid and virtual programming, and on-site video installations.

COURTESY WHEELCHAIRS 

All galleries and facilities are wheelchair accessible. A wheelchair is available upon request. Please see the front desk associate for assistance obtaining one during your visit. The wheelchair is available free of charge, but you will be asked to leave a driver’s license or other identification with the front desk. 

 

Accessible Elevator and Lift Icon

LIFT & ELEVATOR ACCESS 

All spaces within the museum can be accessed by either elevator or chair lift. The Atrium and upper level of the theater are accessible by lift. The lift may be used by anyone with mobility restrictions. Please see front desk for assistance. All other levels of the Museum are accessible by elevator.  

 

Service Animal Icon

SERVICE ANIMALS  

The museum allows service animals as defined by the Disability Rights Florida organization, which means animals trained to perform tasks for individuals with disabilities, including but not limited to guiding a person who is visually impaired or blind, alerting a person who is deaf or hard of hearing, pulling a wheelchair, assisting with mobility or balance, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, retrieving objects, or performing other special tasks. MOCA Jacksonville allows trained services animals, including psychiatric service dogs, but does not allow emotional support animals, companion animals, or pets.
