Emily Bailey is an artist exploring what it means to be a woman through mediums such as sculpture and photography. She was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and currently lives and works in Jacksonville, Florida where she is involved with both MOCA Jacksonville and the University of North Florida. Emily has a degree in journalism and is working toward a second— this time in fine arts. Bailey is drawn to a variety of processes, including casting, steel fabrication, stone carving, and alternative photographic processes. She loves to get experimental and plays with unconventional materials, such as plastic army men, ham, and undergarments.MOCA is UNF

The University of North Florida Student Artist-in-Residence (AIR) is a highly competitive opportunity that awards access to a MOCA Jacksonville studio and exhibition space to complete a new body of work and hone skills over the course of a final semester.
