Terms and Conditions of MOCA Membership
In order to ensure a positive experience for all of our members and visitors, MOCA Jacksonville expects guests to adhere to the following visitor policies. MOCA reserves the right to amend these terms at any time.
General Visitor Information
Where can I read about museum rules and regulations?

Does the museum have a code of behavior?
All of MOCA Jacksonville's visitors and members have the right to an uninterrupted, pleasant, and above all safe museum experience. Members and guests are subject to museum rules and regulations. MOCA Jacksonville reserves the right to revoke membership privileges, either permanently or conditionally, to anyone who is disruptive, threatens or abuses staff or other guests, damages or threatens to damage museum property, or otherwise violates museum visitor policies. This determination will be made at the sole discretion of Museum Director. If MOCA is forced to revoke a membership, MOCA will only issue a refund if the membership has been purchased within 60 days prior to the revocation.
Will I be photographed when I am at the museum?
MOCA Members who visit the museum or take part in on- or off-site museum events may be photographed in images to be used for MOCA marketing purposes. These images may appear in print flyers or brochures, MOCA's website, or social media platforms. By purchasing a MOCA membership and attending MOCA programs, you grant the museum permission to use these images for MOCA marketing purposes.

Purchasing and Renewing Membership
How can I purchase a MOCA membership?
You can purchase your membership online at https://mocajacksonville.unf.edu/memberships/, visit the admissions desk, or call 904-620-4215. You can also mail a check to 333 North Laura Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202.
If I pay admission to the museum and decide I want to become a member on the spot, can my admission fees be refunded?
Yes! If you stop at the admissions desk on your way out of the museum and decide to become a member, your admission fees will be refunded and you will be charged the full price for the membership. This takes place over two separate transactions, as the museum uses two different processing systems for admissions and membership. If paying with a credit or debit card, please allow for several days for the money to be returned to your bank account.
How can I renew my membership?
You can renew your membership the same way that you would purchase a new membership. We will automatically link your current membership with past records.

How do I sign up for Auto Renew?
When purchasing or renewing your membership, select the box that says, “Auto renew.” You will receive a reminder one month before your credit card is charged the following year. Auto renewals require that we have a credit card on file so you cannot auto renew if you purchase membership with a check. All credit card information is safely encrypted.
Can I cancel my auto renewal?
You can cancel auto renewals at any time by contacting the Coordinator of Membership Engagement at 904-620-4215 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
How long does my membership last?
Memberships last for one year. Your membership will expire at the end of the month, one year after you purchase your membership. For example, if you purchase on January 10, 2020, your membership will expire on January 31, 2021.
How do I know if my membership is still valid?
Your expiration date is located at the bottom left side of your membership card. If you have misplaced your card please contact the Coordinator of Membership Engagement at 904-620-4215 or email@example.com.
What happens if I renew my membership early?
If you renew early, you will not lose any time. For instance, if you are due to expire on February 28, 2020 and you renew on January 1, 2020, your membership will expire on February 28, 2021.
How long after purchasing membership should I expect my membership cards?
Memberships may take up to one week to process and another week to mail out. If you have not received your membership cards in the mail within two weeks after purchasing or renewing your membership, please contact the Coordinator of Membership Engagement at 904-620-4215 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that if you mail in a check, it may take longer.
How can I purchase a gift of membership for a friend or family member.
Any membership level can be gifted to friends or family. To purchase a gift of membership, navigate to our website and purchase the membership in the same way that you would for yourself, selecting the option for “I wish to give the gift of membership.” Fill out your information under the Billing Information section and the recipient's information under the section labeled “Enter the Gift Recipient's Information Below.” Make sure to include a Special Message at the bottom, which will be communicated to the recipient. You will receive a tax receipt in the mail as well as a Thank You letter confirming that the membership cards were sent to the recipient. The recipient will also receive a letter in the mail, containing their membership cards.
Do you offer discounts on membership?
Yes! We offer discounts for college students, senior citizens, military personnel, working artists, and educators. We also offer discounts for current UNF staff, current UNF students, and UNF alumni. I am a grandparent. Can I bring my grandkids to MOCA if I have a Family level membership?
Yes! Family level memberships allow 2 adults and up to 6 children into the museum.
What do I get with my membership?
Member benefits last for one year. Please visit https://mocajacksonville.unf.edu/memberships/ for a full list of member benefits.
Am I a part of reciprocal membership program?
All MOCA Members are a part of the Southeast Museum Conference. For a list of participating museums, visit https://www.semcdirect.net/SERM-Participants.
Family level members and above are a part of North American Reciprocal Museums. For a list of participating museums, visit https://narmassociation.org/members/.
Why am I not receiving regular communications from MOCA?
MOCA primarily sends out museum updates and happenings via email at least once per month. If you are not receiving these, please contact the Coordinator of Membership Engagement at 904-620-4215 or firstname.lastname@example.org to make sure that we have your correct email address on file.
How can I unsubscribe from e-communications?
We are sorry to see you go! Please contact the Coordinator of Membership Engagement at 904-620-4215 or email@example.com and request to be taken off our mailing list.
Do Members have to pay for parking?
MOCA Members receive free parking for up to 2 hours in the garage at the corner of Duval and Main Street (33 W. Duval Street). Metered parking is free after 6pm and all day on the weekends.
What if I misplace my membership card?
If you lose your membership cards or need to know your membership ID number, contact the Coordinator of Membership Engagement at 904-620-4215 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I transfer my membership cards to a friend or family member?
Membership cards are non-transferable.
Do I need my membership card to claim my member benefits at the museum?
It is advised that you bring your membership card every time you come to the museum. While the museum keeps a record of all active members, it may take some time to update our records and you are not guaranteed access to MOCA unless you present your card.
Conditions of Membership
Can my membership be put on hold?
Membership cannot be put on hold with the exception of extenuating circumstances, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Can I have my membership refunded?
Because membership dues are tax deductible, memberships are nonrefundable unless there are extenuating circumstances, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Can I upgrade my membership during the middle of my term?
If you wish to upgrade before your membership expires, please contact the Coordinator of Membership Engagement at 904-620-4215 or email@example.com.
