SCHOOL TOUR OPTIONS 


On-Site School Tours  

Students tour the galleries with Museum Educators to experience exciting, contemporary art works firsthand. School groups also visit the studio workshops to create artwork inspired by their visit. All school tours follow grade-level specific curriculum standards.

Tours are available Tuesday – Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Reservations required at least 2 weeks in advance.  

$5 per student   

Groups limited to 50 students per tour time  


Virtual School Tours  

Virtual School Tour includes:   

  • Access to pre- and post-tour curriculum online, including recommended readings, suggested activities, and curriculum standards to enhance your students’ Museum experience   
  • Virtual tour of select galleries led by a Museum Educator in our 360° Virtual Tour Platform  

Virtual tours are available Monday – Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Reservations required at least 2 weeks in advance. 

$50 / Class of up to 25 students  

$100 / Class of up to 50 students  

Groups of more than 50 students must be split into separate tour times   

Virtual Tour Add On // Student Art Kits   

Art Kit includes general art supplies for students to use on their own plus all necessary supplies for the Live Art Lesson  

Each Art Kit includes: 

  • Heavy drawing paper  
  • Set of oil pastels  
  • Set of washable markers   
  • Watercolor set with small paintbrush   
  • Large paint brush 
  • Bag of craft embellishments (wood craft sticks, feathers, gems)   
  • Bottle of glue   
  • Aluminum foil   

Art Kits are $10 per student

SCHOOL TOUR THEMES   

ELEMENTARY, K – 1ST GRADE // LINES & SHAPES   

Explore elements of art in the galleries, identifying color, shape, and texture in displayed works and participate in engaging discussion to enhance the experience and understanding of contemporary art. 

ELEMENTARY, 2ND – 3RD GRADE // MATERIALS & TEXTURE 

Learn how artists use traditional and new materials to create unique artworks and investigate different textures to get a sense of what artwork feels like. 

ELEMENTARY, 4TH – 5TH GRADE // STEAM  

Investigate how artists incorporate scientific methods and mathematical principles into their creative processes to produce one of a kind artworks. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL, 6TH – 8TH GRADE // NEW STYLES  

Experience different contemporary art movements and discover important concepts and influences that generate new mediums and artistic processes.  

HIGH SCHOOL, 9TH - 12TH GRADE // CONTEMPORARY ART & IDEAS  

Discover new art that encourages self-exploration and offers commentary on current events, ideas, and movements.
