Studio Practice Workshop Series: Ceramics with Mark Lester is
structured for beginner to intermediate level ceramicists. Skills developed
through the workshop include basic wheel throwing, trimming and hand building
techniques. Students will begin with basic wheel throwing and advance to cups,
bowls and bottles depending on individual skill level. Students with
intermediate skills can choose their own projects to be completed with the aid
of the instructor. Materials
will be provided.
Studio Practice Workshop Series:
Ceramics with Mark Lester is 6 two-hour classes over the course of 6
consecutive Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. The class dates are May 2, May 9,
May 16, May 23, May 30 and June 6. Students can choose to participate
in single sessions or multiple sessions to build their skill level. Classes are
purchased individually.

Bio
Mark Lester is a Fine Arts major
at the University of North Florida focusing on functional and sculptural
ceramics. His work draws inspiration from precise forms found in nature and
attempts to find a balance between these forms as well as those that are more
mechanical and geometric. He was MOCA's 2018 Student Artist-in-Residence.
