ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join us in-person at MOCA for a lunch and discussion with Dr. David Jamison, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of History at Edward Waters University. Drawing on the exhibition, Kara Walker: Cut to the Quick, Dr. Jamison’s presentation will give a vital historical context to the imagery on display.
ABOUT DR. DAVD JAMISON
Dr. Jamison holds a doctorate in African Diaspora history and his dissertation was on slave resistance during the colonial era. Through his work as Assistant Professor of History, we works to fulfill his mission to inspire others to learn about, re-analyze,
and deconstruct our ideas about race.
This is an in-person event hosted at MOCA Jacksonville. Please share any dietary restrictions with us at registration checkout to ensure you have a positive lunch experience.
