Wende Wilson, Secretary

Board Member Wende Wilson

Wende Wilson retired from a career with Girl Scouts as a CEO of six different Councils/corporations around the country including Pennsylvania, Oregon, Illinois, and here in Jacksonville. Her specialties included governance, inclusion, financial management and control, creation of endowments and reserves, and the full integration of goals into daily tactics, budgets, and operations.

She is the past president of the MOCA Guild, an affinity group that supported the Museum for many years. During her tenure, the Guild ceased operations due to a less involved membership and subsequent funding declines.

In the past, she has been president of UWADA (United Way Agency Directors Association), a member of Leadership Jacksonville, a member of the Baptist Foundation Development Council, and numerous other volunteer opportunities around the country.

She is a graduate of Penn State, took classes at Harvard Business School, and was certified as an ethics trainer at the Josephson Institute for Ethics.

MOCA has been her most favored charity for at least a decade. She admires its innovation, inclusion, and readiness. She believes a solid core of outstanding staff and Board members have kept MOCA at its best all this time.

She was a resident of Jacksonville from 1986 - 1993 and again from 2010 - 2018.
