Board Profile Kay Nichols

Kay Nichols holds dual UK and US citizenship and has spent 30 years in the global financial technology industry. While running businesses for multinationals IBM and FIS, she led big data, digital, and mobile banking initiatives that shaped the fin-tech industry. She is currently board advisor to several companies in the disruptive technology space focused on payments and health.

A global thought leader in areas such as personal data privacy and cybersecurity, Kay was an advisor to the World Economic Forum and has held numerous leadership positions on industry boards, and appeared at top international conferences.

In her Northeast Florida community, Ms. Nichols has served on the JAX Chamber Board of Governors, MOCA, FGI, and was Treasurer for the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. She received the Woman of Influence Award, and has been named a Jacksonville Leading Lady. Currently she is Chair of Strategic Advancement for the World Affairs Council and has recently joined the board of WJCT Public Broadcasting, where she will focus on helping them launch a new digital channel.

Ms. Nichols holds an MBA from the International Management Centre Europe, and a Bachelor of Science from Bristol University. A strong supporter of ongoing education, she is an active member of the National Association for Corporate Directors (NACD), Women on Boards UK, and a cohort of the 2018 Harvard Business School Women on Boards program. Ms. Nichols resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and Manhattan, NY, between travels in the US and abroad.
