Board  Member Anne Joseph

 

Anne Joseph was born in Baltimore, MD and grew up in Richmond, VA. She received her B.A. in political science from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT in 1981. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1985. Upon graduation, she practiced with the law firm of Tacher, Proffitt & Wood LLP in New York City, where she worked as a banking lawyer until 1990. She and her husband, Charlie Joseph, moved to Jacksonville in 1994. Since moving to Jacksonville, Anne has been active in the Duval County Public School system as a volunteer in a variety of capacities. In addition, she served for six years on the Board of the Mali Vai Washington Youth Foundation, a nonprofit organization that offers after-school tutoring, tennis, and a scholarship program for at-risk children in the Durkeeville area. During her tenure, Anne chaired several committees, including the Finance and Scholarship Committees. Anne also served as the Chair for the Foundation's annual gala in 2014 and 2015. As a hobby, Anne plays tennis on various league and USTA teams throughout Jacksonville. Anne and Charlie have four children ranging in age from 18 to 26.
