Kirsten Williams is an artist from Jacksonville, FL, best known for her unique, contoured portraits and figurative oil paintings. Williams received her Bachelor's in Fine Art at the University of North Florida in 2018.
During William's time at UNF, she was awarded the Department of Art and Design Study Abroad Scholarship. The scholarship helped her fund a trip to Italy where she was inspired by the statues that she saw in various museums. The experience motivated her to step beyond the restrictive square frame of the canvas. Her innovative approach to figurative art has allowed her works to be experienced in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional space.
Kirsten Williams, who also works as a public-school art teacher, has had her work featured in several exhibitions in Northeast Florida including the Corner Gallery, Yellow house, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville.
