Lizzy Taber is from southern Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2014 with a concentration in painting, drawing, printmaking, and an art history minor. She holds an MFA in printmaking from Arizona State University.
Centered around the relationships that exist between art and science, with specific interest in marine ecology and seafloor mapping, Taber's work has been shown internationally, and in 2018 she held an artist in residency with the Schmidt Ocean Institute where she was able to collaborate with scientists that map the seafloor. This work was exhibited at the Ocean Exploration Conference at MIT Media Lab and Exploratorium.
Taber has been in attendance of several artist residencies which have been located in places such as Iceland, The Florida Keys, and more. [1]
