Suzanne W. Magee is an artist living and working in North Florida and was raised in eastern Pennsylvania. After a previous degree and career in nursing, Magee moved to Florida. She began to study art at the University of Miami. Eventually, Magee moved to Jacksonville and earned a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of North Florida in 1991.
Magee has exhibited regionally and maintains her studio in Jacksonville, which is where she makes her art. Her work can be found in private, as well as institutional collections alike. Such collections include Mayo Clinic, Baptist Hospital, the US Embassy in the Bahamas, and the Ponte Vedra Inn and Resort.
Alongside exhibition, Magee has been published in Picturing Florida, a book publication that contains the work of thirty-eight contemporary artists representing visual arts of northeast and central Florida.” [1]
