Suzanne W. Magee is an artist living and working in North Florida and was raised in eastern Pennsylvania. After a previous degree and career in nursing, Magee moved to Florida. She began to study art at the University of Miami. Eventually, Magee moved to Jacksonville and earned a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of North Florida in 1991.
