Gillian Harper is a sculptor currently working in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she is studying for her Master of Fine Arts at Louisiana State University. Harper graduated from the University of North Florida in 2017, concentrating in sculpture.
Harper works with a variety of different metals such as cast iron, bronze, aluminum, steel, as well as other materials including found objects, wood, and other organic matter. This results in Harper's use of a range of techniques to create her work. The materials she uses are employed to connect her art to the environment and people.[1]
