Dimelza Broche is a Cuban artist working as an Adjunct instructor at the University of North Florida teaching Drawing I. She attended the Leopoldo Romanach Academy of Art in Santa Clara, Cuba. She studied for two years at Florida State College of Jacksonville before transferring to the University of North Florida where she graduated with a BFA, focusing her undergraduate studies on painting, drawing, and printmaking.
In 2011, Dimelza Broche was the Grand Prize recipient of Momentum: A National Juried Exhibit for Emerging Artists with Disabilities, and is a recipient of The Willson Center Graduate Research Award. [1]
